Student Support and Wellbeing

Our students’ mental health and wellbeing are of paramount importance at Jubilee High School. Our collective well-being vision reads:

Together, we create a culture of wellness where students and staff thrive, with well-being at the heart of everything we do.

Student Wellbeing

Pupils at Jubilee High School are not only encouraged to thrive academically but are also supported throughout all of the challenges of their adolescent lives and taught the skills to ensure they are successful.

We offer our students a diverse range of both internal and external services to support them in understanding the importance of well-being. Tutor programmes, group sessions and 1:1 intervention form part of our well-being offer alongside counselling, mentoring, PSHE lessons, school nurse appointments and pupil and teacher led support groups.

All our services are available to every child and supported by our EILAT Hub which is open every day from 8.30am until 4pm and throughout break and lunch. It is a vital part of our school and a safe space for all pupils no matter what challenges they are facing.

Staff Wellbeing

We have also focused on the development of our staff wellbeing to ensure a joyful and assured teaching and supporting body. Our staff take part in half-termly wellbeing sessions, weekly initiatives to connect and praise each other as well as our new staff recognition scheme, linked here.
