Exam Results 2018

Jubilee High School is proud to announce excellent GCSE results once again.

The new GCSEs have been rigorous and demanding of both our students and teachers and although year-on-year comparisons are difficult to make when taking into consideration the new examinations, we are pleased that standards have remained high at Jubilee High School. It is a great credit to our students that they rose to the occasion and worked very hard without diluting their efforts in other areas.

They deserve everyone’s warmest congratulations and we are very proud of them. Particular congratulations go to Summer Dunn for achieving grades 7 – 9 (A/A*) in 10 GCSEs, and both Kinga Gyorfi and Elspeth Williams getting grades 7 -9 (A/A*) in 8 GCSEs.

As last year, a significant proportion of our young people will go on to take up their first choice of places in sixth form and FE colleges in the area.

This year’s examination season has been a transitional year in which our students and staff have been working through different assessment systems while the new GCSEs were introduced. We wish this dynamic and inspiring group of young people every success as they go forward to their future destinations with pride and confidence.

2017 - Best-ever results at Jubilee High!

Year 11 students celebrated a record-breaking set of GCSE results at Jubilee High School on Thursday 25th August with the best-ever results in the school’s history with 76% of students achieving 5 GCSEs at A*- C.

Mr Price, Headteacher, said, ‘I am delighted to celebrate such amazing results with the students, parents and staff and I’m very happy to say that our students have recorded a strong Progress 8 measure .

Coming on the back of the Government’s stringent new method of measuring examination success which now focusses on how well students perform across 8 subjects, including English and Mathematics, the results are impressive.
