High Tea at Jubilee

Posted on: 15/07/2021

The Senior Leadership Team and Mr Chellingwoth's mouths were left watering as they were treated to afternoon tea by Miss Clarke's year 10 chefs!

The students whipped up a storm in the kitchen and showcased their talents by cooking everything from scratch.

The menu included bread, cakes, pastries, homemade jam and lemon curd. The students even made the shortbread to go in the Rocky Road. All of this was washed down with a nice cool glass of homemade iced tea.

Mr Conroy stated "I was honoured to be invited, along with Mr Chellingworth and other SLT members, by year 10 to an Afternoon Tea made by the students from the Food Technology GCSE group. To say I was astounded by the quality of the food produced and the presentation is an understatement. I can only imagine that this would compare to the quality, presentation and service received in a five-star hotel. Congratulations to all involved and to Miss Clarke for her inspiration behind this event! I look forward to many more tasting sessions with other year groups too."

We know where to go next time we are hungry. Yum yum!
